In the community I live in, it's very common to hear of miraculous provision stories and even physical healings. Though it's not unusual for it to happen, there is still great excitement when it does, followed by the question of, "why do we ever doubt?".
Recently, we've been able to experience a couple of physical healings right within our own staff group. I wanted to share them with you to encourage you.
Meet Kelsey.
Kelsey has been allergic to nuts her whole life. And I'm not just talking a little allergic. This girl would break out in hives if someone else ate peanut butter and breathed on her. Hard core. Well, one night, a few of our staff girls decided enough was enough and prayed for full healing of this nut allergy. In faith, these girls believed that Kelsey was healed. Some times to show our faith, we have to take action steps. So Kelsey proceeded to eat anything with nuts that was given to her that night. And nothing happened. NOTHING. God healed her of her life-long allergy and she is able to eat nuts!
Our next miraculous story happened to Savanna. Some of you may remember, Savanna was on the team that I led last year. She is staffing this year and is co-leading her own team.
A couple weeks ago, we were playing a school-wide game of capture the flag. In the midst of all the running around, someone ran into Savanna and took her right knee out. She went to the doctor and was told she had a partially torn meniscus and ACL. Basically, her only option was to fly to the mainland and have surgery...most likely removing her from being able to lead her outreach team.
Her knee was swollen, black & blue, and gave her immense pain if anyone touched it or if she tried to walk on it. She was on crutches and had it in a brace.
Last Monday night, during the campus ministry night (a time of worship & prayer, and quite often healings), someone received a word of knowledge that we were to pray for a right knee. This person knew nothing of Savanna. It was just something the Lord put on their heart to pray for.
Everyone in our group immediately thought of Savanna and started praying for her.
Next thing we know, her knee is COMPLETELY healed! No pain. No swelling. No bruising. She took the brace off, had no need for crutches, and was able to jump & dance around. And now she says her right knee feels better than the knee that had nothing wrong with it!
Go God! Miracles still happen. God cares about the little things. Do you have faith to believe for miracles?!
